Pons Quintana Fall-Winter 2013-14

It is high time we looked at Pons Quintana’s Fall-Winter 2013-14 collection, because I would like to show you my favorites (they can be seen under “Collections” and “Shop Online” categories at www.ponsquintana.com)

BWTrenzado

#1: My absolute favorite: this black and white “trenzado” (“woven” or “braided”) ankle boot. The use of the houndstooth pattern in leather is striking in and of itself and the tassels at the back complete the extravagant look.  A dream boot that seems to belong more on stage than on the street.

Sherry

#2: The black woven “Sherry” boot with the houndstooth design inserted from the ankle to the mid-calf is the tall counterpart to #1. Also guaranteed to turn heads.

RedtrenzadoTrenzadoBlack

#3: The red woven boot speaks for itself. The black version has an equestrian-style shaft.

Velourcuero

#4: The tall wedge boot is made from velour-soft suede, with a small side buckle detail close to the top. The shape is good, but the rich copper-brown color is even better.

CrostaCuero

#5: The high lace-up suede ankle boot in natural brown. The laces are ornamental, as it also has a zipper on the side. Black studs above the black heel at the back give it a slightly edgy look.

When I was ready to order, #1 was no longer available in my size, neither was #3 (the red boot). Which was just as well, since the tall boots actually did not fit the budget this time around. Had the red boot been available, I would have succumbed for sure. And #5 is due to arrive any day.

Which ones are your favorites?
