Combat Boot Fashion by Beatriz Furest

Combat boot fashion is a throw-back to the 90s style, but it never really went away. It remains a key element of the "grunge" look. Personally, I am not addicted to "grunge" fashion, but I appreciate any style that successfully mixes up feminine and masculine energies. Case in point: these awesome combat style boots by Beatriz Furest, a Barcelona-based maker of high-end leather shoes and accessories.

Shoe of the Week: LOTTUSSE

Given the weather here in Canada, it is not at all surprising that my thoughts are currently revolving around boots. This calf-skin navy blue boot by Lottusse I've been eyeing for a while, actually. The cut is equestrian, wide at the top and snug on the bottom, but the velvety texture of the suede with its slight purple undertones and the virtually flat, rubber-reinforced sole make it a high-style urban comfort type of boot.

Shoe of the Week: Palomitas

Our Shoe of the Week series is back! This week we are featuring the "Astrid" heeled loafer from the Palomitas line of Paloma Barceló. (The Palomitas line is like Paloma Barceló light - less drama, more down-to-earth and casual). Making shoes with a thick lug platform and heel look elegant is a feat that the designers at Paloma Barceló have perfected down to an art.
