Pamplona-festival

Pamplona, capital of Navarre, is in the headlines each year from July 6 to 14 because of its famous week-long popular festival – the Sanfermines (http://www.turismo.navarra.es/eng/propuestas/san-fermines/) that starts with the “encierro” – the running of the bulls through the streets of the city into the bullfighting arena. To celebrate Saint Fermin, the first bishop of Pamplona, the whole town dons on red scarves and red-and-white “Pamplona” espadrilles.
