Halloween with Coco

Coco

El Coco: the nightmare of Spanish children, a faceless creature that either eats or kidnaps the little ones when their parents are not looking. The famous Spanish painter Francisco Goya was not happy with the mothers who used Coco to scare their children, to get some quality time with their lovers. Or maybe he believed in Coco and was upset that bad parents let him get away with murder? Goya created this etching, which inspired our illustrator, Sasha Naumov, to create his own version of Coco.

Happy Halloween from the Spanishoegallery!
