Since nude legs are about to start flashing their different tones on the streets of Toronto, as they have already been in cities where winter has receded long ago, Spanishoegallery would like to present a selection of Made in Spain “nudes“. I must confess that I don’t have a pair of “nudes” yet, but I am becoming more and more convinced that every woman should own a pair or two. They are good for both professional, leisure, and formal occasions and they have this magic effect of making the legs appear longer, if, of course, the tone of the shoe is a good match for the tone of the leg.
This is my dream pump – the “Derry” model by Pura López. At a 9 cm (3.5”) leather covered heel with a 2 cm (0.8”) hidden platform this pump is considered a “medium heel” pump in the Pura López world. It is available on the company’s website – if your size is not there, write to them, and they should be able to manufacture it in your size (it takes a month) and ship it to you, whether you are in Europe, Asia, or North America.
This is another type of “nude” or “neutral” – a very faint warm pink peep-toe pump with a 7.5 cm (2.6”) stacked heel and a 1 cm (0.4”) covered platform, also by Pura López. The pump is made of brushed leather, which means that the finish is especially velvety and glossy, perfect for evening occasions.
This cute patent leather ballerina flat is by Pedro García. It is advertised as “beige”, which is another word for “nude”, with the signature slit in the front. It is available from YOOX.COM.
This “skin-color” narrow-toe open-back mule with a zip-closure is by Rebeca Sanver. Covered stiletto heel is 10 cm is really high, but the whole design is very elegant, especially for spring. It is currently available on YOOX.COM.
One of my favorite brands, Paloma Barcelo’, came up with this 13.5 cm (5.3”) square heel beige peep-toe pump on a 4.5 cm (1.8”) open platform. The beige has pleasing pink undertones, meaning that it would look good on a fair skin. The upper is suede, and the heel and the platform are made from Paloma Barcelo’s signature stacked gold-colored cord, with logo detail at the back of the heel. This is a spectacular pump, a head-turner, like most of this brand’s creations. The pump is available through YOOX.COM.
This lacy suede high- heel sandal is by Lola Cruz. The color is a darker tone of beige and, given the right skin tone, it will produce a very appealing effect on the foot. Available through YOOX.COM.
This open-toe, open-heel sandal by Paco Herrero is also advertised as “beige”, but it is a much softer beige than the Lola Cruz one. It doesn’t look very high, but the slender leather-covered heel is actually 9 cm (3.5”) high. It has an interesting broad “high-collar” ankle strap with a snap two-button closure. It is available through YOOX.COM at a huge discount right now.
This sleek patent leather open-toe, open-heel “Ruth” sandal is by Ursula Mascaró, the Menorcan designer who also owns the Pretty Ballerinas brand. It has a 7 cm (2.7”) stable heel, slightly fluted at the top. The ankle is held in place by a matching sling with what looks like an elastic insert in the back, for increased comfort. It is a beautiful quality sandal, in a “make-up pink” color, with purplish metallic pink lining. “Ruth” a trendy high-end sandal, as most from this brand are. It is available from the Ursula Mascaró website.
This gorgeous deep nude patent leather sandal is by Sacha London. The peep-toe sandal has a stiletto heel, which is somewhat offset by an open off-white platform. Its narrow buckle-closure ankle strap is very elegant. The sandal used to be available from the Sacha London webshop, but it has since disappeared from there, unfortunately. I couldn’t help including it though, since I find it so pretty, especially the light-nude contrasting trimming on the front and the back.
These two pumps are by Sacha London and Hispanitas, respectively. The Sacha London peep-toe is very elegant with its slender heel and attractive nude lining, but the cooler pink-nude upper has a scale-like pattern that I am not crazy about. The Hispanitas pump, on the other hand, has a lower conical heel, which makes it much more stable, and a wonderful warm nude color, with a cute leather-string bow on the front. The inner rim of the shoe has an elastic band for comfort, which I don’t mind, but the visible stitching I’m not crazy about. Both models are available to purchase from their respective websites.
I hope you enjoyed our Parade of Nudes!
